2011 HHS Graduate Megan Cannon with the CURO Book of Abstracts for 2015

(Athens, GA) — Nearly 400 University of Georgia Students recently presented their original research projects in fields ranging from history to engineering and health at the 2015 Center for Undergraduate Research Opportunities Symposium.

The annual CURO Symposium was created in 1999 to highlight undergraduate student research achievements in all disciplines.

Local student Megan Cannon, a 2011 Honor Graduate of Heard County Comprehensive High School presented her research entitled “Neural Correlates of Schizotypal Traits in Healthy Participants with High and Low Cognitive Control.”

Megan will graduate from UGA next month May with a B.S. in Psychology and a Minor in Spanish. She plans to attend Graduate School in the fall. Her parents are Clay and Kathy Cannon of Franklin.
