Lyndsey Pike selected as DAR Good Citizen for Class of 2021

(Franklin, GA) — The James Stewart Chapter, NSDAR, is pleased to announce that Lyndsey Elizabeth Pike was selected as the DAR Good Citizen Award recipient by the Heard County High School Class of 2021.

The DAR Good Citizen Program has been in existence since 1934 and recognizes outstanding young people that exhibit the qualities of good citizenship in their homes, schools, and communities.

The student selected as the school’s DAR Good Citizen must possess the following qualities:  Dependability, Service, leadership and Patriotism.

Lyndsey is the daughter of Rich and Lisa Pike of Heard County.

She is the Senior Representative for the Senior Class for the Student Council, a member of the Leadership Team, Secretary of the National Honor Society, a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a member of the Art Club and a member of the Spanish Honor Society.

Lyndsey is also very active at Faith Baptist Church in LaGrange.

Lyndsey plans to attend college after graduation and is considering a career in a field where she can help others.

Lyndsey shared that her mother inspired her and help make the person she is today.

After battling with an aggressive cancer for eight months, her mother passed away in September but Lyndsey’s goals for the future and her strength are stronger than ever to inspire the next generation.

As our recipient of this award, Lyndsey received the DAR Good Citizen pin and Certificate of Award.

A chapter scholarship will be awarded in 2021.
