Man Arrested on Firearm Charges

On the evening of November 11, the Franklin Police Department were dispatched to 922 Franklin Parkway at 8:47 p.m. in response to reported threats being made by 47-year old Ricky Stanley Pollard of Franklin.

Upon his arrival, several witnesses reported to Franklin Police Officer Cecil Price that Pollard, who had been living at the residence for a few months, had allegedly made several death threats towards them.

The Police Department began a search for Pollard and several hours later he was reported to have returned to the home.

Police were called back to the residence at 11:39 p.m. that same evening. When Officer Price arrived he reportedly found Pollard standing at the doorway to the home.

According to Officer Price, he drew his weapon and ordered Pollard to the ground where he handcuffed him and discovered a Rugar Blackhawk .357 magnum in his waistband at the small of his back.

Pollard was placed under arrest and transported to the Heard County Jail. Arrest reports issued by the Heard County Sheriff’s Office show that Pollard was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, Reckless Conduct, Firearm Use by Convicted Felon in Commission of a Crime, Parole Violation, and five counts of Aggravated Assault and Terror Threats and Acts.

Pollard is currently still being held at the Heard County Jail.

  1. Ricky is a kind person who must be given the benefit of the doubt instead of just stacking random charges upon him…..
