(Franklin, GA) — A local man is facing several additional charges stemming from an incident that occurred in September of 2016.
James Walter Jackson, age 63, of Franklin was arrested on February 9 and is charged with four counts of Aggravated Assault.
According to a report by lead Heard County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Sgt. Dan Boswell, Jackson was allegedly under the influence of alcohol when he fired shots towards several people in his own yard last year.
Jackson was originally arrested on September 13, 2016 and charged in the same incident with Discharging a Firearm Under the Influence, Aggravated Assault, Pointing a Gun at Another and Possession of Firearm in Attempt of a Crime.
Further investigation led to the added felony charges.
