During the past few years this group has been competing they have established themselves as one of the premier marching ensembles in the state of Georgia.

During the 2013 marching season, the Marching Braves were invited to perform as part of Field Show USA! This event will take place during Veteran’s Day Week in the heart of Washington, DC, November 6-9, 2014.

2014 will mark the 10th Anniversary of the WWII Memorial as well as the 70th Anniversary of the 2nd World War and the liberation of Europe from German Occupation.

A former member of “The President’s Own” US Marine Band and his recruiters selected the Marching Braves for this event during one of their performances this past fall. The Marching Braves are one of 10 bands from around the country that have been selected for this event and as of now the only band from the state of Georgia.

These students work extremely hard and spend over a hundred hours in preparation to present exciting performances for numerous audiences.

HHS is extremely proud of the performance and musicianship levels that each musician and this ensemble have achieved. Each member’s hard work and dedication reflect the strong support from the school, parents, and generous sponsors.

Now it is time to begin raising funds needed for travel expenses, and participation in the many local and national events in which they will be competing in this fall. The Marching Braves are asking for sponsors from the community to assist in this vital effort.

Your sponsorship will be greatly appreciated and will help us maintain our tradition of excellence for our school and our community. Our goal is to raise $50,000 before the month of October to cover all cost of the trip to and from Washington DC.
