Maria Gabriella Band Releasing Debut Album, High Above the Sun

Maria Gabriella Band proudly announces the release of High Above the Sun, their sexy and fun debut album featuring rocking leads, head-bopping beats and soaring vocals.

Recorded at Groove Tunes Studios in Alpharetta, Georgia, this ten song original production includes everything from the pop‐radio tone of Days Go By to the rock‐flavored fan favorites One Night Stand and Altered Reality to the folk‐pop spice of Paper Plane infused with hip‐hop and reggae on the side.

Guitarist Derek Ferwerda (who has worked with artists such as Alana Myles, Joe Cocker, and Cyndi Lauper) makes a killer lead guitar guest appearance on Stop the Madness, and cellist Gail Burnett performs a beautiful cello solo on the Spanish ballad Un Dulce Beso.

The album is folky pop‐rock with Latin flair! Atlanta‐based Maria Gabriella Band (MGB) is a folk‐rock Indie group headlined by singer/songwriter Maria Gabriella (acoustic rhythm guitar) and consisting of keyboardist Emily Chambers, lead guitarist Amy Smith, bassist Laura Miles, drummer Jeff Barrow, and hip‐hop lyricist Omnipresent.

On stage, MGB exudes a bursting array of talent, personality and energy that captivates any audience.

The band slips seamlessly into various musical styles, screaming diversity, yet never losing its identity.

MGB is celebrating the launch of this album with release parties in both Atlanta and Columbus.

The band will perform live at Tony’s Sports Bar and Grill in Duluth, Georgia on April 21st and in Columbus, Georgia on April 28th at The Loft.

  1. Hey Maria,
I truly enjoyed playing on your CD. I’m sorry that I never got a chance to meet you. Maybe sometime in the future. I love your style and sound and hope that you are continuing to play your heart out.
Me crié en Puerto Rico. Tal vez podamos tener una conversación un día nuestros idiomas nativos…..

    sincerely

    Derek Ferwerda
