Middle Brave topple Blue Devils

Coach Allen Sikes and the Heard County Middle School Braves scored an impressive 27-8 win over the Bremen Blue Devils Thursday afternoon at HCMS.

The Braves jumped out to an early two touchdown lead midway through the first quarter and the Devils were never able to recover.

The highlight of the game was a Carlton White 84-yard punt return which left the Devils reeling early.

Jonta Gray continued to be impressive as he has been all season scoring two touchdowns.

White also added another touchdown rush giving him two for the game.

Bremen’s only score came late in the second quarter but after trailing 14-8 at the half the Devils would not score on the Braves defense again.

Trey Wiggins continued to impress kicking three out of four extra points.

The middle Braves will meet the Mt. Zion Eagles next Thursday at home with kickoff at 4:30 p.m. This will be another division game for the Braves.
