Middle Lady Braves top Bremen in triple overtime thriller

The middle school girls basketball team tallied a very exciting 38-36 triple overtime win over the Bremen Blue Devils Thursday at Bremen Middle School.

Two free throws by Hannah Sanders with eight seconds to play in the last overtime sealed the victory in an epic see-saw battle. Sanders, an eighth grader, led the Lady Braves in scoring with nine points.

The game was neck and neck throughout with the Blue Devils leading by four at halftime. Other top scorers included Hannah Stephens with eight, Aspen Barker and Alyssa Cosper with six, and Alexis Brittany Nelms with five.

 It was the second win of the week for the girls who also took down Villa Rica 41-36 at home on Tuesday.

The boys team also completed the middle sweep by downing the Blue Devil boys 42-38. Torrance Allen came out of nowhere with a hot hand collecting 20 points to lead the way.
