Miss Autumn Nichole Sims

Autumn Sims ObitMiss Autumn Nichole Sims, 21, of Newnan, died Friday, January 17, 2014, at her home.

The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m.,Tuesday, January 21, at Bethel Baptist Church in the Rocky Mount Community of Meriwether County. The Reverend Brian Calhoun will officiate and interment will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 Monday night.

Autumn was born September 27, 1992, in LaGrange, and lived in Heard County all of her life before recently moving to Newnan.

She was a 2011 graduate of Heard County High School, where she was a member of the marching band, and had attended Jacksonville State University as a music major.

She was currently attending West Central Georgia Technical College in Carrollton.

Survivors include her son, Elijah James Bloodsworth; her parents, Jason and Melanie Sims; her brother, Zachary Sims; her fiancée, James Bloodsworth, all of Newnan; her paternal grandparents, Roy and Polly Sims of Greenville; her maternal great-grandmother, Mary Wester of Merritt Island, Fl; aunts and uncles, Carol and Trae Dunn, Jimmy and Natalie Wester, Matthew and Morgan Wester; great-uncle and great-aunt, Allen and Colleen Wester; and a number of cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Epilepsy Foundation of Georgia, 6065 Roswell, Rd., Suite 715, Atlanta, GA  30328.

  1. She had such a beautiful smile and could make so many people laugh. I had not seen her in a really long time but I will never forget her telling me about salty feet. Melanie, Jason and Zach. My heart goes out to all of you and I wish I could have been there for you.
