Mr. Bonny Thrower

Mr. Bonny Gerald Thrower, age 79, of Franklin passed away July 29, 2020.

The family will gather for a private viewing Friday morning.

His funeral service will be conducted Friday July 31, 2020 at 2:00 PM from the graveside at Franklin City Cemetery with Rev. Lynn Janney officiating.

Mr. Thrower was born April 14, 1941 in Heard County to the late Junior Lee Thrower and Villie Brazil Thrower.

He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church and enjoyed attending when he was able.

He was employed for more than 40 years at the James Rivers Plant in the maintenance department. He loved to go to work each day and enjoyed working with his fellow employees.

He always had a garden at his home and took pride in gathering fresh vegetables to serve for a fresh hot meal on the table.

Each day he woke up and went to Hardee’s for breakfast with his buddies. He liked to catch up on the latest news and discuss the current events of the day.

Survivors include two daughters, Janice Ball McCormick (Danny) and Judy Massa (Tim) both of Franklin; one son, Douglas Rogers (Debbie) of Franklin; one brother, Jesse Thrower (Deborah) of Piedmont, AL; a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Thrower; a daughter, Jackie James; a sister, Ella Guin McNalley; and a brother, Eugene Thrower.
