Mr. Bruce Hyatt

Mr. James Bruce Hyatt, age 73 of Marietta, Georgia passed away on Sunday, April 22, 2012 at the Greenwood Gardens in Marietta.

Funeral services for Mr. Hyatt will be held on Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. from the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, Georgia with the Reverend Shawn Brooks officiating. The family will receive guests at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.

Mr. Hyatt was born on December 5, 1938 in Centralhatchee, Georgia, the son of the late Eunice Gladney Hyatt and Herman Hyatt.

He was a 1958 graduate of Heard County High School in Franklin, Georgia. He was a Christian by faith.

Mr. Hyatt was retired from the Advance Motor Freight Company in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a member of Masonic Lodge #640 in Jennings, Missouri. “Mr. Bruce” had a wonderful sense of humor, and was a caring individual who was always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone in need.

His great generosity will forever remain in the hearts of those he helped. He was loved by all who knew him. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by two sisters, Thelma Hooper of Powder Springs, GA., and Melba Templeton (Bill) of LaGrange, GA.; one brother, Bob Hyatt of Franklin, GA.; and a number of adoring nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandy Sadler Hyatt; four sisters, Adele Daniel, Ruby Duke, Bertha Moore, and Bernice Lemons; and four brothers, Riley Hyatt, Ray Hyatt, Billy Hyatt, and Reese Hyatt.

Those who wish may make donations to the American Lung Association or the Shriners Hospital for Children.

Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home of Franklin, Georgia are in charge of arrangements.
