He was born to the late Carrie Lou Echols on March 7, 1940.
He was united with Heard Wesley U. M. Church. He was a faithful employee of the William Bonnell Company.
Charlie was a dedicated Braves Fan.
Survivors include his wife, Bobbie Ann Rogers Echols; four children, Yvette (Sonny Boy) McCamey, of LaGrange; Charles (Niecy) Echols of Newnan; Vincent Echols of Franklin; Latoya (Demetrious) Thornton, of Villa Rica; sister, Mollie Echols; 14 grandchildren, one great grandchild; in-laws, Betty Ware, Charlie Rogers, Walt Rogers, Vivian Almond, James (Nina) Rogers, Anthony (Sandra) Rogers, Anthony (Belinda) Rogers, Kathy (Wendell) Winston and Nathaniel Scott (Janice) Rogers; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The service will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Heard Wesley UM Church in Franklin.
The family will be at their home at 18319 Highway 34, Franklin.
