Mr. Fred Hamrick, Jr.

Mr. Fred Daniel Hamrick, age 79 of Franklin, Georgia passed away at his home on Friday, October 21, 2011.

Funeral services for Mr. Hamrick were conducted on Sunday, October 23, 2011, at 2:00 P.M., from the Olive Branch Baptist Church with the Reverend David Huckeba officiating. The interment followed in the church cemetery. Music was provided by Russell and Diane Langley.

Those serving as pallbearers were Charles Hamrick, Casey Hamrick, Chad Hamrick, Clint Hamrick, Brian Hamrick, and Toney Moss. The honorary pallbearer was Wade Smith, and Kevin Hamrick.

Mr. Hamrick was born in Sandy Springs, Georgia on September 26, 1932, the son of the late Willie Mae Wright Hamrick and Fred Daniel Hamrick. He was a faithful member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church. Before the onset of his illness he was a plumber by profession. He was formerly employed by Phoenix Plumbing Company. He was an honorable man who worked hard all his life to provide for his beloved family. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife Pauline Shedd Hamrick of Franklin, GA.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Angelia Jones of Stockbridge, GA., and Christine and Tony Moss of Franklin, GA.; five sons and two daughters-in-law, Daniel and Barbara Hamrick of Franklin, GA., Tommy Hamrick also of Franklin, GA., Robert and June Hamrick of Locust Grove, GA., Charles Hamrick of Franklin, GA., and Clint Hamrick also of Franklin, GA.; one sister, Annie Kate Ficklen of Anniston, GA., one brother, Jimmy Ficklen of Monticello, GA.; twenty-one grandchildren; and a number of great, and great-great grandchildren.

Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home of Franklin, Georgia was in charge of arrangements.
