Mr. Henry Sidney King

Mr. Henry Sidney King, age 70 of Newnan, died at his residence on May 11, 2015.

He was born in Franklin on June 23, 1944, to the late Sidney King and Minnie Lou Shelton King.

Mr. King was also predeceased by his son, Timothy Scott King. Henry served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was decorated with a Bronze Star and a Purple Heart.

He was a dedicated member of Southside Baptist Church. He loved all of his family and one of his greatest pleasures in life was spoiling his grandchildren. He drove for Circle W Trucking.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Nelson King; sons, Terry King, John Frazier (Theresa), Wallace Frazier (Lisa); daughters, Tammy Adcock (Tony), Sheree Turner, Linda Shelnutt, Kimberly Thomas (Jimmy); siblings, Diane King Boyd and Ronnie Gene King; 23 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015, at Higgins Hillcrest Chapel with Pastor Donny Shelton and Brother Larry Caldwell officiating.

Pallbearers will be Brian King, Terry King, Sid Adkins, Dakotah Shelton, Ronnie King Jr., Paul McGowan, Edwin Whitten, and Sammy Daniels. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, 6-8 p.m.

Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home of Newnan is in charge of the arrangements.
