Mr. Herman Toney

Mr. Herman Bonner Toney, age 64 of Franklin, Georgia passed away at his home on January 4, 2013.

Mr. Toney was born in Franklin, Georgia on September 22, 1948, the son of the late Leonard Bonner Toney, and Georgia Mildred Humphrey.

A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Gordon Combs officiating. The family will receive guests at the funeral home one hour prior to service time.

“Mr. Herman” was a much loved member of the Heard County Community, where he served as the local barber. His winning disposition made him a favorite among all who knew him.

He was a Baptist by faith and served his country honorably in the United States Army.  He was also a very gifted guitarist. He will be missed by all who knew him.

 He is survived by two children Melissa Toney, and Herman Toney, Jr. of LaGrange, GA.; two brothers and sisters-in-law,  Stanley and Jennifer Toney of Newnan, GA., and Gene and Jean Toney of Franklin, GA.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Raburn; and two brothers, W. L. Toney and Jack Toney.

Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
