Mr. Hollice Wortham Wright, age 84 of Franklin, Georgia passed away at his home on October 7, 2013.
Funeral services for Mr. Wright were conducted on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, 2:00 P.M. at the New Springs Methodist Church with the Reverends Clifford De Lee and Rodney Roquemore officiating. Music was provided by Rella Lewis.
Those serving as pallbearers were Kevin Lloyd, Tillman Levens, Chris Levens, Barry Levens, Keith Levens, and Shane Sanders. Honorary pallbearers were Wayne Sanders, and Thomas Levens. The interment followed in the church cemetery.
Mr. Wright was born in Heard County, Georgia on June 22, 1929, the son of the late Ollie Waytes Wright and Esty T Wright. He was a member of the New Springs Methodist Church, and was retired from the Heard County Board of Education where he was a school bus mechanic.
His careful detail to the care of the school buses protected the student that road them. He was a warm, friendly man who made friends where ever he went. He was very devoted to his wife who has not been well for many years, and was a loving father, and grandfather. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Ella Mae Sanders Wright; one daughter, Sandra Lloyd; three grandchildren, Michelle Lloyd Sartain, Kimberly Sims, and Kevin Lloyd; and five grandchildren all of Franklin, GA.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by one beloved son Danny Wayne Wright, and a number of brothers and sisters.
