Mr. James Arvie Hendrix

Mr. James Arvie Hendrix, age 83, of Franklin passed away September 16, 2021.

His funeral will be held Saturday September 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Revs. J. W. Daniel and Rodney Roquemore officiating. Interment will follow in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Saturday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 PM.

Mr. Hendrix was born August 20, 1938 in Randolph County, AL to the late Henry Beason Hendrix and Willie Louise Cunningham Hendrix.

He attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, where he was a member for more than 25 years. He enjoyed Gospel music and recorded videos at church of the musical talent that performed there.

In his free time he tended his garden during the spring and summer months. When fall arrived the woods came calling, as he always looked forward to deer season each year.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Nell Hendrix of Franklin; one daughter, Amanda Nell Newman of Franklin; one grandson, Khristopher Martin; three sisters, Jean Fowler of LaGrange, Louise Shipp (John) of Florida, and Linda Hendrix of Valley, AL; one brother, Roy Hendrix (Judy) of LaGrange; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Marvin Allen Hendrix; three sisters: Mildred Boshell, Mary Robinson, and Faye Hendrix; and two brothers, Pete Hendrix and Garvis Hendrix.
