Mr. Jerry Singleton

Mr. Jerry Wayne Singleton, age 55, of Franklin passed away December 1, 2020.

His funeral services will be held Friday December 4, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with Mrs. Julia Love and Pastor Jeff Sheffield officiating. Interment will follow in Mount Zion Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Friday afternoon from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Jerry was born September 10, 1965 in Kankakee, IL to William John Singleton, Sr. and Martha Elizabeth Jackson Singleton. He attended Grayson United Methodist Church.

He was self-employed and had his own business as an installer of hardwood floors. He had more than 30 years of experience in the flooring industry.

He was a sportsman at heart and liked to remind everyone about making a hole in one on the golf course. He also enjoyed playing slow pitch softball.

A bluntly honest man, he always let you know what he thought.

He was a friend to everyone, always put others above himself, and was willing to help anyone in their time of need. When you called him he was always there to lend a hand. He was very close to his grandmother, Elinore Jackson (Mo Mo). When she needed care he cooked and did housework for the family.

He was engaged to the love of his life, Tinna Beebout, and they had planned to be married next year. Tinna’s children and his grandchildren loved him dearly and he had taken them in as his own. He also held a special place in his heart for his brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews.

Survivors include: his fiancée, Tinna Beebout; his mother, Martha Singleton; his father and step-mother, Bill and Linda Singleton; one daughter, Julia Love (Jared); two sons: Eric Acker and Baily Beebout; grandchildren: Mallory Acker, Isaiah Acker, and Aiden Harp; two sisters: Sandy Hutsell (Bob) and Paula Jost (Joe); three brothers: Terry Singleton, Jimmy Singleton, and Richard Rieken; 21 nieces and nephews; 13 great-nieces and great-nephews; his best friend and business partner, Greg Scharlau; and a number of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by a brother, William John “Buddy” Singleton, Jr.
