Mr. Jimmy Prince

Mr. James Albert Prince, age 65 of Atlanta, Georgia passed away at his home on April 14, 2013.

Funeral services for Mr. Prince were conducted on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. from the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, Georgia with Mr. Prince nephew, Reverend Neil Awbrey officiating.

Music was provided by Mr. Prince’s brothers and sisters, Judy Awbrey, Jerry Prince, Joel Prince, and Jennifer Prince. Those serving as pallbearers were Jerry Prince, Joel Prince, Al Awbrey, Gerald Meacham, Mike Parker, and David Barker.

The interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Roanoke, Alabama.

Mr. Prince was born in Bowdon, Georgia on September 29, 1947, the son of the late Reverend James Hulet Prince and Etta Louise Ward Prince. He served his country honorably in the United States Army National Guard. He was a graduate of The University of West Georgia where he obtained a Bachelors Degree in Business.

For many years he had been employed by Dantanna’s Restaurant in Atlanta where he enjoyed the friendship of his fellow employees. Mr. Prince was a Christian by faith, and was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by one daughter, Kelly Parker (Mike); one son, Scott Prince (Mary); three grandchildren, Anna and Emma Parker, and Frank Prince; all of Peachtree City, GA.; two sisters, Judy Awbrey (Al), and Jennifer Meacham (Gerald); two brothers, Jerry Prince (Katrinia), all of Franklin, GA., and Joel Prince (Debbie) of Carrollton, GA.; and former wife Felicia Taney Lanham of Brooks, GA…

The Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home of Franklin, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
