Mr. John Thomas “J.T.” Walker

Mr. John Thomas “J.T.” Walker, age 65 of Franklin, Georgia passed away at his home on September 24, 2012.

Funeral services for Mr. Walker will be conducted on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. from the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home with the Reverends Steve Arrington and Wayne Webb officiating.

The interment will follow in the New Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Carrollton, Georgia. The family will receive guests at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M.

Mr. Walker was born in Carrollton, Georgia on July 2, 1947, the son of the late Ruth Hazel Ballew Walker and Louie Thomas Walker. He was retired with over 43 years of service from the Bremen Bowdon Investment Company.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era . For his gallantry he received the National Defense Service Medal. He was a Christian by faith. Mr. J.T.  was a loving husband, and father. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Walker of Franklin, GA.; daughter, Donna Neilson (Jessie White) of Roopville, GA.; son Brian Walker (Cindi) of Franklin, GA.; four grandchildren; brother, Wayne Walker (Melissa), step-mother, Mackie Buchanan; sister-in-law, Lora Walker.

Other than his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Patricia Arrington, brother, Jerry Walker, and grandson, Eli Walker.

Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home of Franklin, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
