Mr. Michael Gore

Mr. Michael Anthony Gore, age 48, of Franklin passed away at his home.

A memorial service will be conducted Thursday November 16, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Rev. Lynn Janney officiating.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the funeral.

Mr. Gore was born March 16, 1969 in Randolph County, AL to Ruby Dianne Smith Baughman and the late Ray W. Gore. He was a member of Ridgeway Baptist Church.

He was a man that liked to work with his hands. He was a self-employed welder and enjoyed working on cars.

People who knew him said that he “loved fishing and more fishing!” He was more interested in the sport than the fish themselves, as he did not particularly enjoy eating them.

In his spare time he liked to watch sports, especially football and NASCAR. He always preferred Fords to Chevys.

Although he had no children of his own, he held a special place in his heart for his nieces, nephews and extended family. He also loved his dog, Champ.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Dianne and Donald Baughman of Roanoke; two brothers, Tim Gore (Andrea) of Franklin, and Jeff Gore of Carrollton; nieces, Megan Dewald of Roopville, Tiffany Hallmark of Roanoke, A. J. Winkles of Newnan, and Tamara Gore of Connecticut; nephews, Bryan Gore (Brook) of West Point, Kevin Gore of Franklin, and Brandon Gore of Carrollton; and a number of other relatives and friends.

Those who wish may write memorial tributes at www.stuttsfuneralhome.com.
