Mr. Randy Bussey

Mr. Randall Earl “Randy” Bussey, age 64, of Franklin passed away February 1, 2021.

His funeral will be held Friday February 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Centralhatchee First Baptist Church with Bro. Curtis Holloway and Bro. Mark Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will accept visitors at the church Friday afternoon from 1:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Randy was born April 24, 1956 in Heard County to the late James Robert Bussey and Nina Mae Adams Bussey. He was a Christian by faith.

He was what you would call the classic handy man. He liked to take things apart and put them together again. He worked primarily as a carpenter in the local area.

Among his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing. He also loved to tend to his garden each year.

At home he enjoyed watching Western movies and TV shows.

Survivors include three daughters, Kimberly Davis (Jacob) of Roopville, Kacey Gosdin (Tate) of Ephesus, and Joanna Thomasson (J.J.) of Newnan; seven grandchildren, Brooklyn Bussey, Halie Davis, Connor Rayburn, Eli Cosper, Jackson Gosdin, James Thomasson, and R.B. Thomasson; three sisters, Diane McCormick (James) of Ranburne, Susan Patterson (Clyde) of Carrollton, and Janice Smith (Everett) of Ranburne; four brothers, Tillman Bussey (Beth) of Cedartown, Johnny Bussey of Franklin, David Bussey of Villa Rica, and Robbie Bussey (Lana) of Franklin; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Jerry Bussey.
