Mr. Ray Holloway

Mr. Ray Holloway, age 73, of Franklin passed away June 5, 2020.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Monday June 8, 2020 from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM.

A graveside service will be held Monday June 8, 2020 at 12:30 PM at New Springs Church Cemetery with Rev. Rodney Roquemore and Rev. Lynn Janney officiating.

Mr. Holloway was born May 10, 1947 in Heard County to the late Charlie Holloway and Essie Mae Wright Holloway.

He loved the Lord and had a passion to reach out to young people. In earlier years he and his wife, Pat, conducted a puppet ministry through their church. Many children heard about the love of Jesus through their hard work.

In his later years he attended Ridgeway Baptist Church every Sunday he was able.

He enjoyed arts and crafts. One of his favorite was woodworking. He also liked to paint. His trademark symbol was a unique letter “R” he called his “Rocking ‘R’ Emblem.”

He was a man who seldom showed anger and loved everybody. He was also known to have a great sense of humor and a jovial personality.

Survivors include three daughters, Sunshine Bussey (Nick), Patricia Davis, and Aleicia Runels all of Franklin; five grandsons, Jakob Lamar Ragland, Ethan Xavier Bussey, Garrett Cole Davis, Levi Keith Runels, and Joey White; three sisters, Lois Holloway, Erlene Shelnutt, and Lou Sanders; three brothers, Kenny Holloway (Angela), Frank Holloway (Berdine), and James Holloway; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Patricia Holloway; one granddaughter, Logan McKenzie Davis; one sister, Mamie Reeves; and three brothers: Benny Holloway, Curtis Holloway, and Troy Holloway.
