Mr. Reuben Harold Poole

3730768 (1)Mr. Reuben Harold Poole was born to the late Bonner Poole and Jettie Thomas Poole on May 18, 1948 in Franklin, Georgia.

He attended Heard County Schools and was employed by Heard County Commissioner.

Reuben was a member of Mt. Carrie Baptist Church.

On Friday, May 20, 2016, Reuben passed away at Hospice LaGrange.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Ann Poole; and two brothers, Hillard Poole and Jerry Poole.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his devoted wife, Joe Ann Poole; three children, Robert (Kim) Poole, Vicky Poole, Debra Poole; five grandchildren, Carlos Poole, TyKea Poole, Jalen Johnson, Jabari Poole, and Janae’ Johnson; eight great grandchildren; one brother, Charles(Lorraine) Poole, Carrollton, GA: sisters, Surlinda (Johnny) White, Franklin, GA; Judy Cook, Grantville, GA; Shari (Sam) Fluellen, Grantville, GA; Brenda Poole, Franklin, GA; Edith (Freddie) Dunson, Franklin, GA; and Juanita (James) Chelcy, LaGrange, GA; and a host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins; and a very close friend, Charlie Tatum.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Thursday, May 26, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Mt. Carrie Baptist Church. Rev. James Chelcy will officiate. Burial will follow at Heard Memorial Gardens.

The family will be at their home at 615 Murphy Avenue, Lagrange.

Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home of Lagrange is in charge of the arrangements.
