Mr. Rick Holdridge

Mr. Richard S. Holdridge, age 73 of Roopville, Georgia passed away at his home on Monday, January 16, 2012.

Funeral services for Mr. Holdridge were conducted on Thursday, January 19, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. from the Welcome United Methodist Church with the Reverends Marlin Miller and Bo Hendon officiating. The interment followed in the church cemetery.

Music was provided by Ginger Stutts. Those serving as pallbearers were Tony Bailey, Tony Walls, Rodney Earl, Ricky Moncus, Michael Allen, Danny Smith, and Casey Bailey.

Mr. Holdridge was born in Newnan, Georgia on May 11, 1938, the son of Mildred Cole Holdridge, and the late Earl Winfred Holdridge.

He served his country honorably in the United States Navy from 1956-1962. He was retired from AT&T where he was a Cable Repairman.

He was a faithful member of the Welcome United Methodist Church, and Centralhatchee Masonic Lodge # 403. He loved the out of doors, and especially fishing.

Mr. Holdridge was a wonderful husband and father. He will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Townsend Holdridge of Roopville, GA.; two sons, Tommy Holdridge of Roopville, GA., and Doug Holdridge (LeAnda) of Franklin, GA.; mother, Mildred Holdridge of Newnan; step-mother, Synthia Loner of Carrollton, GA.; three sisters, Patricia Lanham of Canton, GA., Shelah Easton of Bremen, GA., and Ellen Daniel of Tallapoosa, GA.; two brothers, Jack Holdridge of Simpsonville, SC., and Melvin Holdridge (Jackie) of Carrollton, GA.; four grandchildren, Hayley, Zack, Matt, and Jacob Holdridge.

Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home of Franklin, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
