Mr. Tommy “Jive” Cammon

Mr. Tommy “Jive” Cammon was born to the late John C. and Willie Maude Cammon on March 1, 1958 in Franklin (Heard County) Georgia.

He was a 1976 graduate of Heard County High School, in which he was an honor graduate. He also was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps in which he served four years.

His earthly journey was completed on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Pruitt Healthcare of Greenville, Georgia. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Amos Cammon and Willie Amos Cammon.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted friend, Linda Evans; sisters, Willie Eris (Grady) Woodruff; Shelia Denise (Wylie) Hudson; Ieva (Johnnie) Thornton; Janice Cammon; Patricia (Henry) Huguley; Jacquelyn Elaine Bridges; brothers, Joseph (Dorothy) Cammon; Jessie (Matilda) Strickland; and his stepmother, Rozell T. Melson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends will also cherish his memories.

The Celebration of Life Service will be Friday, November 21,
2014 at 2:30 PM at Mt. Carrie Baptist Church. Rev. Ronnie Jones and Rev. Terry Barnes will officiate.

Burial will follow at Stateline Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will be at their home at 240 Cheeks Road.
