Mr. Tyler Batchelor

Mr. Anthony Tyler Batchelor, age 18, of Franklin passed away August 29, 2018.

Funeral services for Tyler will be conducted Saturday September 1, 2018 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Brimlow officiating.

Interment will follow in Centralhatchee First Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Saturday afternoon from 12:00 – 2:00 PM prior to the service.

Tyler was born October 28, 1999 in LaGrange to Rickey Ellis Batchelor and Martha Michelle Lee Henry. He was a Baptist by faith, and in earlier years attended services at Centralhatchee First Baptist Church.

He lived life to the fullest. He liked to spend time with two of his best friends, Blake and Corey. Hunting and fishing were two of his favorite activities. He enjoyed riding on dirt roads and going on mud rides. It was not unusual to see him covered in mud after a run in his favorite mud hole.

He had a mischievous sense of humor, and loved to joke with his family and friends.

His favorite sports were baseball and football, and he enjoyed singing songs by two of his favorite country artists, Alan Jackson and Luke Combs.

Recently, he had begun working as a groundsman for Lee Electric, a job he loved, and was looking forward to beginning a career.

Survivors include his mother, Michelle Henry of Franklin; his father and step-mother, Rickey and Cindy Batchelor of LaGrange; Grandmother, Beverly Flood of Centralhatchee; Granddad, Charles Henry of Whitesburg; Great-grandmother, Alice Henry of Whitesburg; Nanny, Linda Batchelor of LaGrange; Papa, Richard Batchelor of LaGrange; three sisters, Paris Henry, Caitlin Wade, and Makenzie Cowart; three brothers, Levi Batchelor, Rickey Batchelor, II, and Michael Batchelor; special aunts and uncles, John Henry, Ronnie Batchelor, LouAnn Eason (Ronnie), Amanda Peppers (Shannon), and Tara Wysner (Andy); and a number of cousins, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by: Papa, Robert Flood; Grandmother, Lydia Quillen; and great-grandfather, Billy Henry.

    Prayers for Comfort & Peace for this family. I am so very sorry for your loss. It is always hard to lose a loved one but when God calls one of his home at such a young age it is always so devastating. May God be with all family & friends in the time to follow.
