Mr. William Dwain Howle

Mr. William Dwain Howle passed away July 25, 2016, in Rome, Georgia. He was 71.

Mr. Howle was born March 29, 1945 in Troup County Georgia to the late Dennis and Flora Bentley Howle.

He lived most of his life on the Howle family farm in Ranburne, Alabama. He graduated from Ranburne High School.

Afterwards, he attended Jacksonville State College until entering the army. He served the army in Germany during the Vietnam era.

After Dwain was discharged from service, he attended and graduated from Carroll Tech and he attended West Georgia College. He was self-employed for many years. He also worked for the Dairy Herd Improvement & Association (DHIA) with the University of Georgia testing dairy cows. He trained DHIA testers for the state of Alabama working out of Auburn University. His last employment was as a DHIA tester for the state of Florida.

Dwain was married to Elaine Huddleston on August 4, 1972 and moved to Georgia.

In addition o his parents, Mr. Howle was preceded in death by his grandparents Washington and Lela Hart Howle; Samson and Jewel Jones Bentley and Naomi Bentley.

He is survived by his wife Elaine Howle of the Ephesus Community in Heard County; sister-in-law Sara Beacham of Apex, North Carolina; brother-in-law Thomas Huddleston (Elena) of Ephesus; his sister Mary Davis (Tim) and his brother Barry Howle (Jackie) of Ranburne, Alabama.

He is also survived by a number of nieces and one nephew.

Funeral Services were held at Ephesus Baptist Church on Sunday, July 31, 2016. Bro. Fred Cook and Bro. Tony Morris officiated.

Dennis Moss, Wayne Nichols, Mike Parmer, Steve Staples, Bobby Gann, and Bill Turner served as Pallbearers during the services.
