Willie F. Pritchett, Jr. was born on April 25, 1959, to Willie F. Pritchett, Sr. and Carrie Mae Williams Pritchett. Willie was educated in the Coweta County School System where he graduated from Newnan High School in the Class of 1977.

Upon graduation, Willie attended the Police Academy to pursue his lifelong dream of becoming a Police Officer, which led to his employment with the Newnan Police Department.

On October 18, 1981, Willie united in Holy Matrimony to Rosa Mae Roberts and was a loving and devoted husband for thirty-four (34) years.

Willie was employed with the Newnan Police Department for eight (8) years and upon leaving the Police Department, he gained employment with Eckerd Distribution where he gained a passion for truck driving. He remained employed with Eckerd’s, which later became the Rite Aid Corporation, for twenty-three (23) years until the plant closed.

He later went on the drive for Milliken in LaGrange, GA until 2010 when he formed his own company, WEFAM Trucking along with his daughter and son-in-law. He drove under the authority of Crane Transport until his death.

Willie was active in his community his entire life. He coached Pony League Baseball, Little League Football and Girls’ Softball. While doing so, he formed lifelong friendships and personal bonds with almost any and every one he met.

In 1995, he, along with his mother (Mrs. Carrie Pritchett) and his friend, Clarence Bohannon formed the youth organization, United We Stand for Positive Results; an organization formed to help at risk youth in the community.

This organization strived to empower youth to become model citizens and successful adults. He also served as Chairman to the Newnan Housing Authority, a position he held dear to his heart. Through the years Willie received numerous awards and recognition for his work throughout the community.

Willie had an infectious smile with so much wisdom behind it, a loving personality and a servant’s heart, that will always be remember by all who knew him.
