Mrs. Shirley Ann Tucker Shelnutt, age 75 of Franklin, Georgia passed away at her home on September 20, 2012.
Funeral services for Mrs. Shelnutt will be conducted on Monday, September 24, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. from the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Brett Mathews officiating.
The interment will follow in the Heard County Memorial Gardens. The family will receive guests at the funeral home Sunday evening from 6-8 P.M.
Mrs. Shelnutt was born in Fayette County, Georgia on August 16, 1937, the daughter o the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Tucker. She was a Baptist by faith. “Miss Ann” was a fun loving, delightful woman who could brighten any room. Her warm chuckle could warm your heart.
Anyone who knew Miss Ann could tell you that she was one of the world’s biggest Elvis fans. She felt that her greatest accomplishments in life were her children and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by three daughters, Julie pope, Jane Shelnutt, and Deborah Patin; one son Randy Shelnutt; one sister, Elinor Andrews; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Herschel Shelnutt; three sisters Lixie Mae Prewett, Louise Phillips, and Sandra Shelnutt; and one brother, Paul Tucker.
