Graveside services for Doris Carr Andrews, age 78, of Roanoke will be held on Wednesday, April 1, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Randolph Memory Gardens with Bro. Conner Moon officiating.
Mrs. Andrews passed away Sunday, March 29, 2020, at Traylor’s Nursing Center in Roanoke.
A lifelong Randolph County resident, Mrs. Andrews was born in Cullman, Alabama, on February 17, 1942, the daughter of William Oliver “W. O.” and Susie Clem Bowen Carr.
She was a member of Standing Rock Assembly of God and worked as a seamstress for Fashion Star and Candlewick.
Survivors include one daughter, Susie Moon (Keenan) of Woodland; one son, Ed Mitchum of Woodland; three grandchildren, Luke Moon (Jennifer), Nickie Lasseter (Shane), and Claire Wood (Wade); six great-grandchildren, Chandler Moon, Conner Moon (Kes), Jakab Moon, Max Lasseter, Major Lasseter, and Dalton Morris; and three sisters, Dicie Gosdin (Gerald) of Roanoke, Darlene Templeton of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, and Sara Baker of Verona, MS.
Mrs. Andrews was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman Andrews; daughter-in-law, Lisa Mitchum; brothers, William Carr, Russell Carr, and Edwin Carr; and sisters, Doty Dutton and Ellawees Roper.
Pallbearers will be Luke Moon, Shane Lasseter, Wade Wood, Chandler Moon, Jakab Moon, Dalton Morris, Max Lasseter, and Major Lasseter.
