Mrs. Frances Walker

Frances Walker, age 73, of Carrollton, Georgia passed away on January 6, 2015 at Northside Hospital. She was born September 9, 1941 in Franklin, Georgia, the daughter of the late Terrell Bailey and the late Mozelle Huckeba Bailey.

Mrs. Walker taught school for a time at West Georgia College and the Carrollton City Schools before retiring to become a full time mother. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Carrollton.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Walker of Carrollton; children: Tracy & Phillip Wiggins of Carrollton, Clay & Lisa Walker of Rome, and Clint & Amanda Walker of Roopville; sister & brother-in-law, Lucy & Forrest Smith of Edgefield, South Carolina; brother, Terry Bailey of Carrollton; five grandchildren: Anna Kate Wiggins, Saralyn Wiggins, Tee Wiggins, Josey Walker, and Eli Walker; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, January 9, 2015 at 2:00 PM from the First Baptist Church in Carrollton with Dr. Steve Davis officiating. The body will be placed in the church at 1:30 PM on Friday.

The following gentlemen will serve as pallbearers: Greg Walker, Forrest Smith, London Smith, Steve Lee, Rodney Walker, Roby Tumlin, John Frank, and Bo Bailey. Interment will follow in Carroll Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
