Mrs. Jackie Ann Rogers Janes, age 62 of Casselberry, Alabama, formerly of Franklin, Georgia passed away at the Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Alabama on Sunday, August 18, 2013.
Funeral services for Mrs. Janes will be conducted on Wednesday, August 21, 2013, 2:00 P.M. from the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, Georgia, with the Reverend Lynn Janney officiating. The family will receive guests at the funeral home one hour prior to service time. The interment will follow the service at the Harmony Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Janes was born in Heard County, Georgia on October 22, 1950, the daughter of the late Mary Christine Dean Rogers Thrower and W L Rogers. She was a Christian by faith. Before the onset of her illness she was a boiler maker for the T. E. I. Construction Company. She had a tremendous work ethic, and was a loving mother, grandmother, and sister. She will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Elbert Timmy Janes of Casselberry, AL.; two daughters, Connie and Corbey Shelnutt, and Kim Scarborough all of Franklin, GA.; two sons, Tommy Tucker and Katy Kimble of Franklin, GA., and Timmy and Nicole Tucker of Oxford, MS.; two sisters, Janice and Danny McCormick, and Judy and Tim Massa all of Franklin, GA.; one brother, Doug and Debbie Rogers also of Franklin, GA.; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and dear friend Shirley Hill of Casselberry, AL.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandchild, and one great-grandchild.
