Mrs. Jane Dean

Mrs. Lurline Jane Adams Dean, age 80, of Roopville passed away April 27, 2021.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. Interment will follow at Centralhatchee First Baptist Church.

Mrs. Dean was born April 10, 1941 in Heard County to the late Ancie C. Adams and Maudie Mae Street Adams.

She was a member of Temperance Methodist Church at Sand Hill.

Among the jobs she worked over the years was an attendant at the Maple Street Marathon. She also cleaned houses for local residents.

Her most precious times were spent with her family gathered around the table for a home cooked meal. She was especially known for her fried chicken and biscuits. She loved to sit on the porch and visit with everyone.

When she was able to gather with her brothers and sisters, there was always laughter and mischief. They loved to joke around and tell old stories about growing up around Centralhatchee. Jane relished the chance to see them all, and each of her siblings was very special to her.

Jane liked to be made up and wear nice clothes. She always dressed up to the nines for special occasions.

Survivors include four daughters, Donna Faye Smith of Guntersville, AL, Teresa Brown (David) of Bowdon, Debbie Chadwick (Steve) of Roopville, and Tammy Dean of Roopville; one son, Mike Dean (Karen) of Roopville; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
