Mrs. Juanita McBurnett

Mrs. Juanita Denton McBurnett, age 52 of Franklin, Georgia passed away at her home on Monday, December 5, 2011.

Funeral services for Mrs. McBurnett were conducted at 2:00 P.M. from the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, December 7, 2011, brother Lindsey E. Herndon and brother Carl Graham officiating.

Music was provided by Carl and Linda Graham, and Glenda Creel. The interment followed in the Heard County Memorial Gardens. Those serving as pallbearers were David Fritts, Larry McBurnett, Curtis Denton, Myles Denton, Matt Stamey, and Shane Phillips.

Mrs. McBurnett was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, on April 22, 1959, the daughter of the late Harold Eugene Denton and Mary Elizabeth Cagle Denton.

She was a member of the New Antioch Christian Church. Until her illness she was employed by the Target Corporation where she was a stocker.

Even though she had no children of her own she had the wonderful opportunity to serve as guardian of four of her wonderful nieces and nephews that she loved as her own. They endeared her by calling her “MaMa NeeNee”.

The contribution she made to their lives will go with them through life, as did their love add greatly to her life. She was also a wonderful sister and aunt. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She was survived by the children of which she was guardian, Curtis Denton, Lisa Denton, Myles Denton, and Ashley Denton all of Franklin, GA.; six sisters, Sheila Lawson of Tucker, GA., Faye Denton of Atlanta, GA., Ginny and David Fritts of Franklin, GA., Brenda Denton of Atlanta, GA., Paula Denton also of Atlanta, GA., and Yolanda Denton of Huntsville, AL.; three brothers, Gene Denton of Franklin, GA., Jerry Denton and Danny Denton both of Atlanta, GA.; ex-husband, Larry McBurnett of East Point, GA.; and a number of adoring nieces and nephews.

Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home of Franklin, Georgia are in charge of arrangements.
