Mrs. Marie Combs

Mrs. Willie Marie Williamson Combs, age 75, of Hogansville passed away Thursday June 22, 2017.

Funeral services for Mrs. Combs will be conducted Sunday June 25, 2017 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with the Rev. Brandon Brooks officiating. Interment will follow in Prospect Church Cemetery.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home Saturday from 2:00 – 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Combs was born November 5, 1941 in Meriwether County to the late Willie Christine Williamson Harris.

She never turned down anyone when they requested help. When someone had a sickness or death in the family, she cooked and served meals and offered to do anything to assist anyone during their time of trouble.

She held a special place in her heart for her family, who affectionately called her “Granny.” Her most precious times were spent with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren gathered together for a delicious meal.

Survivors include her husband, Gordon Combs; five daughters, Tammy Denton (Mike) of Monticello, Charlene Mills (George) of Gay, Teresa Wilder (Scott) of Senoia, Angela Combs of Senoia, and Debra Combs of Franklin; one son, Tommy Combs of Hogansville; one sister, Diane Bales of Franklin; one brother, Jerome Harris (Jill) of Franklin; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Ella Combs, and two sons, Charles Combs, Jr. and Elvis Combs.
