Mrs. Mary Fulghum Wade

Funeral services for Mary Fulghum Wade, 96, of Roanoke were Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016, at 2 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jody Overton officiating. Burial followed at Welcome Home Baptist Church.

Mrs. Wade passed away on Friday, Jan. 1, at West Georgia Hospice.

A Chambers County native, Mrs. Wade was born Jan. 18, 1919, the daughter of Willie and Lavonia Holloway Fulghum. She was a member of Maplewood Baptist Church and was retired from Handley Mills and Lanett Mills.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Norman and Sandra Wade of Roanoke; one daughter, Brenda Brown of Roanoke; 11 grandchildren, Terry Wade of Five Points, Pam Burks and Mary Perry, both of Rock Mills, Lori Nelson, April Wade, Scott Wade, Danny Wade and Steven Mickle, all of Roanoke, Laine Mitchell of Woodland, and Tina Landreth and Sheila Wade, both of Lanett; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Maynona Hogan (husband, Billy) of Franklin, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leroy Wade; three sons, Larry, Haywood and Jerry Wade; three sisters, Kate Lecroy, Betty Jean Morgan and JoAnn Sanders; and five brothers, Herman, David, Harold, Bobby and Lamar Fulghum.

Pallbearers were Terry Wade, Steven Perry, Russ Nelson, Cody McClurg, Scott Wade, Gerald Mitchell, Walt Mickle and David Bradley.
