Mrs. Sallie Timmerman

Mrs. Sallie Davis Arrington Timmerman, age 93, of Franklin passed away Monday March 20, 2017.

Funeral services for Mrs. Timmerman will be conducted Wednesday March 22, 2017 at 3:00 PM from the chapel of Stutts Funeral Home with Kim Hinely and Rev. Brett Mathews officiating. Interment will follow in Franklin City Cemetery.

The family will accept guests at Stutts Funeral Home from 1:00 – 3:00 PM prior to the service.

Mrs. Timmerman was born December 23, 1923 in Randolph County, Alabama to the late Andrew Joe Davis and Mary Frances Pitts Davis.

She was a longtime member of Franklin United Methodist Church. She loved her church and her church family, and attended services until her health declined.

Prior to her retirement, she worked as an inspector for Baby Cloze in Franklin.

She loved to cook delicious meals and to have her family gathered around for food and fellowship. Visits from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were especially precious to her.

Her favorite outdoor activity was fishing, and she enjoyed having her family along for trips to the lake.

Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Thompson; two grandchildren, Kevin Thompson (Danielle) and Kellie Thompson; five great-grandchildren, Kyndell Thompson, Sierra Arrington, Jasmine Thompson, Stormy Thompson, and Kolby Thompson; great-great-grandchild, Bethany Arrington; all of Franklin; and a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Timmerman; five sisters, Agnes Clark, Mattie Caswell, Annie Pike, Mildred Knight, and Belle Vines; and two brothers, Jim Davis and Rufus Davis.
