Mrs. Sarahann Ellis

Mrs. Sarahann Fuller Ellis, age 84, of Franklin passed away April 29, 2020.

A memorial service will be held May 31, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Cedar Lane Chapel.

Mrs. Ellis was born August 16, 1935 in Fulton County to the late Columbus Gary Fuller and Flora May Swann Bachelder Fuller.

She was a member of Cedar Lane Chapel and loved the Lord more than anything. She was a devout Seventh Day Adventist and an avid student of the Bible.

She served many years in the Fulton County School System. She taught elementary school before finishing her Master’s degree in Library Science at Georgia State University.

Many students from North Avenue Elementary School in Hapeville were inspired to read through her guidance and tutelage.

After retirement she moved to the Waresville Community where she enjoyed farming and spending time outdoors. She joined the Randolph County Master Gardeners as an outlet for her love of gardening.

She was a very loving and patient lady, and was married to the love of her life, Robert Ellis, for 59 years before his passing. Times spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, were precious to her.

Survivors include two daughters, Robyn Platt (Doug) of Jasper and Lynn Todd (David) of Grantville; five grandchildren, Harley Platt (SonMi), Sarah Crofts (Danny), Rebecca McCarty (Gary), Nicole Naumann (Matthew), and Joseph Todd (Aime); 12 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Florence Eberhart (Fred) and Mary Jones; one brother, David Fuller (Louise); sister-in-law, Linda Fuller; beloved friends and neighbors, Martin and Kay Barlow, and Lou Sanders; and a number of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Ellis, and a brother, Buddy Fuller.
