Mrs. Sharon Cathy Marshall Abner, age 62 of Duluth, Georgia passed away at the Gwinnett Medical Center on February 25, 2013.
Funeral services for Mrs. Abner were conducted on Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at 3:00 P.M. from the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home in Franklin, Georgia with the Reverend C Kay Fuino officiating.
The interment followed in the Welcome United Methodist Church Cemetery. Music was provided by Leesa Stutts Cothran and Tom Lipham.
Those serving as pallbearers were Steve Marshall, Mike Marshall, Tim Marshall, Billy Marshall, Jimmy Marshall, John Marshall, Jr., Matt Marshall, and Mitchell Marshall.
A memorial service was conducted on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. from the Duluth First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Abner was born in Carrollton, Georgia on February 18, the daughter of the late Carrie Bell Shirey Marshall and Mitchell Leon Marshall. She was a graduate of Heard County High School and Dental Hygienist School. She was a member of the Duluth First United Methodist Church where she was employed as the Facilities Coordinator.
Sharon was a fun loving person who enjoyed life to the fullest. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed preparing special meals for her family and friends. She will long be remembered by her loved ones.
She is survived her husband, Ronald Abner of Duluth, GA.; one daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Tim Laflamme of Smyrna, TN.; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Rebecca Abner of South East Asia; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Eugene Marshall, Vern and Janice Marshall, and Verlon and Elaine Marshall , all of Roopville, GA.; and seven beloved grandchildren.
