Mrs. Willie Mae Starr

Mrs. Willie Mae Fuller Starr, age 80 of Franklin, Georgia passed away at her home on Thursday, May 17, 2012.

Funeral services for Mrs. Starr will be conducted on Saturday May 19, 2012, at 2:00 P.M. from the Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, Georgia with the Reverend Scott Petite officiating. The interment will follow in the Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, Georgia.

Mrs. Starr was born in Hogansville, Georgia on December 7, 1931 the daughter of Erma Garner Fuller and the late James Edgar Fuller. As a young wife and mother she lost her first husband, Lonnie J. Clark which left her to raise her two children alone.

After a period of mourning she put herself through nursing school and supported her children at the same time. She has been called one of the finest nurses that Franklin Healthcare ever had.

Her kind and gentle care offered great comfort to her patients. “Miss Willie” was known for her generosity, and loved to garden. She was a loving mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her mother, Erma Fuller of Hogansville, GA.; two daughters, Debbie Barrett of Franklin, GA., and Barbara Bohanon of Locust Grove, GA.; brother-in-law, Howard Starr of Franklin, GA.; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two husbands, Lonnie J. Clark and Frank Starr, father, Edgar Fuller.

Tom Stutts & Son Funeral Home of Franklin, Georgia is in charge of arrangements.
