The red line on the above map indicates the section of Newnan Street that is scheduled to undergo paving repairs Thursday in downtown Franklin

(Franklin, GA) — According to Franklin Police Chief Kevin Hannah, the City of Franklin has been notified by RP Paving Solutions, LLC that based on the current weather forecast, they plan to begin paving Newnan Street in Franklin on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at 7:00 AM.

This project is expected to be completed the same day but will result in some delays to residents and will be closed to thru traffic.

Although the paving project will be on Newnan Street, motorists traveling on Main Street and Maple Street may experience minor delays due to equipment entering and exiting the roadways.

The project is expected to be completed by at least 6:00 PM Thursday evening.

“We appreciate your patience and cooperation during this time,” stated Chief Hannah. “Any updates regarding the project will be released immediately.”
