Off and Running: Golden Knights hold First Practice of Football Era

(Carrollton, GA) — The football era has begun at West Georgia Technical College with 106 players reporting over the weekend to begin a two-week minicamp, the first in school history.

The official reporting day was Saturday and the first practice began at 4:45 p.m. on Sunday.

“I’m very pleased with our turnout,” said WGTC head coach Walter Dunson. “The kids came in and got after it right away. I feel like we have good depth and talent at every position. We have a very good football team and we have good speed and size all over the place, which will only get better as we continue to recruit kids that excel in the classroom, fit our scheme, and can play our tempo.
