Registration Deadline Approaching

(Franklin) — The deadline to register to vote for the November General Election is Tuesday October 11, 2016. This is also the last day to change your name or address.

If you have moved since you last voted, the Registrars Office may not have an accurate address for you. This could cause problems on Election Day.

It is easy to check your registration status. You can use the Secretary of State’s “My Voter Page” to check your status. The web site is

You may also call the Voter Registration Office during regular office hours Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. The office will stay open during lunch until the Registration Deadline to assist voters.

If you have not yet registered to vote, you may do so in one of the following ways:

1: At the Voter Registration Office (Room #14 of the Courthouse), a public library, or public assistance center.

2: When you renew your driver’s license or State issued ID Card.

3: Using the Secretary of State’s On-Line Voter Registration System. The web site is   You may also access the site from the “My Voter Page”.
