Roanoke Man Charged with Trafficking Meth

(Franklin, GA) — An Alabama man is currently behind bars in the Heard County jail following his recent arrest on drug charges.

35-year-old Matthew Scott Conger of Roanoke, AL was arrested on Wednesday, November 6 and charged with three felony counts of Drug Trafficking.

The arrest occurred following a two-week investigation by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI) West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office.

GBI Reports indicate a search warrant was executed on Conger’s vehicle at a convenience store on HWY 27 near the Carroll County line.

During the search, agents seized approximately five ounces of methamphetamine. No bond had been issued in the case as of Friday morning.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s (GBI) West Metro Regional Drug Enforcement Office (WMRDEO) is designed to combat illegal narcotics activity in the West Georgia and Metro Atlanta areas.
