(Franklin, GA) — On Friday, April 1, Sheriff Ross Henry and staff honored several employees for their loyal and dedicated service to Heard County.

Cpl John Cash, Sgt. Lisa Perry and Cpl. Will Hannah were honored with a reception and were presented plaques by Sheriff Henry.

After almost 23 years of employment with the Sheriff’s Office, Cpl. Cash chose to retire due to medical reasons.

Sgt. Perry was employed nearly 16 years and she also had to leave the Sheriff’s Office due to medical reasons.

Cpl. Hannah has been employed with the Sheriff’s Office for 6 years and is advancing his law enforcement career. Cpl. Hannah has taken a position with the Georgia Bureau of Investigations.

“I speak not only for myself but for my entire staff when I say this is a bittersweet moment. We will miss our family members, but we wish them nothing but the best for their futures,” said Sheriff Ross Henry this week.

“All three were very dedicated to their jobs and to serving the citizens of Heard County and will truly be missed.”

Congratulations Lisa Morris Perry. I really don’t know you too personally but anyone with a beautiful mother like you has got to be both beautiful inside and out. You have Nancy’s eyes. I know you loved your job. Life does leave us hurting in places we shouldn’t or want to hurt. One door closes another one opens. Love you Lisa!
