“We’ve played well but we have really had to stress to worm as a team. We’ve had a lot of people wanting to play separate and play for themselves so we’ve had to work a lot on being a family,” said Carroll after Tuesday’s win over Bowdon. “We struggled and were a little nervous there for a while against Bowdon, but the girls have realized we have to just take it one pitch at a time and you could see they really bought into that in the second half of the game.”

The HCMS Lady Braves travel to Temple Tuesday before returning to Heard Middle on Thursday to face Carrollton. They then close out the regular season with a home game versus Mt. Zion on Sept. 24 and a road game rematch at Bowdon on Sept. 26. All middle school softball games start at 5:00 PM.
