(Lagrange, GA) — Investigators with the Troup County Sheriff’s Office are pleased to announce an arrest has been made in an armed robbery which occurred nearly one year ago.

The incident occurred on the afternoon of July 25th, 2013 at the Hog Heaven located at 2240 West Point Road in Lagrange. During the incident, an unknown white male suspect pointed a handgun at the cashier and demanded money and the suspect fled the location with an undetermined amount of money.

Shortly after the incident, still images and surveillance footage of the robbery were released to the news media and social media and dozens of tips were received by our investigators.

Earlier this week a new tip came in with very credible information related to this case and after speaking with several individuals and with the assistance of the Auburn, Alabama Police Department, 43-year-old James Christopher Jenkins of Auburn was arrested and charged with Armed Robbery.

Jenkins is currently being held in the Lee County jail awaiting extradition to Troup County on this charge.
