(Lagrange, GA) — On Monday the Troup County Sheriff’s Office presented a check in the amount of $13,000 dollars to Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Home Pineland which was the proceeds generated from the 7th annual car show that was on May 7th.

This year’s car show once again topped the amount of money raised from the previous year and it also had a record turnout of more than 200 entries.

“Pineland is such a unique facility and the staff do a tremendous job working with the young men who call Pineland home and it is because of the support this community and those from elsewhere have given us over the years that they are able to provide those services,” said Troup County Sheriff James Woodruff.

“I also want to thank the men and women of the Troup County Sheriff’s Office for donating their time and skills to make this event a great success.”

Other Sheriff’s Office employees that volunteered that day were, Mike Stewart, Brandie Newsome, Jason Newsome, Nancy McCormick, Mike Ellington, Kelli Ellington, Wanda Bhachech, Stewart Smith, Jeff Duran, Tasha Hubbard, Michael Caldwell and Marty Reeves.
