(Atlanta, GA) — Three Brave football players were named to the Atlanta Journal Constitution and Associated Press Class AA All-State teams released on Christmas Eve.

Senior running back Duranta Dunson and senior offensive tackle Levi Brown were both named to the first team offense by both the Ap and AJC while upstart junior defensive tackle Matt Brown was named as a second team defensive member by the AP and an honorable mention on defense by the AJC.

It was the third straight season that Dunson has been named to both the AP and the AJC’s first team including his sophomore year when he was selected on the defensive side of the ball.

Dunson was recognized by the AP and AJC after once again having an amazing statistical season despite missing several games with injury.

The senior tailback rushed for 1864 yards on just 190 carries for an average of 9.81 per carry and 21 touchdowns to close out an awesome four-year stint for Coach Tim Barron and the Brave program.

Levi Brown capitalized on another strong season on the offensive line to receive his first all-state recognition following in the footsteps of Jake Edwards who was named first team OL in 2012 and 2013.

Brown is headed to Marshall University in the fall to compete with the top 25 ranked Thundering Herd after committing to the Conference USA school in October.

Brown jumped up in the recruiting ranks quickly in 2014 after a strong performance at the 2014 MVP Camp held at Lovejoy High School in April.

Levi became the focus of college football recruiting conversations all over the southeast after being named as the Top Overall Performer at the camp.

Junior defensive lineman Matt Brown was a huge surprise for the Braves this season after setting a new tackle record for defensive lineman with 120.

Brown was recently named the Region 5-AA Defensive Player of the Year and in addition to the 120 tackles Brown also had three sacks, 17 tackles for a loss, 11 quarterback hurries, and a blocked kick during the 2014 season.

Brown should be the anchor of a senior-laden Brave defense that returns several starters in 2015.
